Course Description:
Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death after trauma. The Stop the Bleed® course empowers bystanders to act quickly and save lives before professional help arrives. This free, hands-on training teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate, effective action.
During this 60-minute course, you will learn:

How to identify life-threatening bleeding

Proper techniques to apply direct pressure

How to pack a wound to control bleeding

How to correctly use a tourniquet
This class is open to the public—no medical background required. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, coach, security officer, or just want to be prepared, this course gives you the skills and confidence to help save a life.
