CPR Classes in Northbrook and Chicago: Two Convenient Locations for CPR, AED, First Aid & BLS Certification

IMG_0084

When someone collapses, the first few minutes decide the outcome. Trained bystanders save lives. Chicago CPR Academy has spent more than a decade training Chicagoland residents, healthcare professionals, teachers, and workplace teams to respond with confidence.

We now offer two convenient places to get certified: our Northbrook headquarters and our Chicago location on Devon Avenue. Whichever you choose, you get the same hands-on instruction and nationally recognized certification.

Our Chicago CPR Academy Locations

Northbrook CPR Training Center

1901 Raymond Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062

Our Northbrook location is the home base for Chicago CPR Academy and serves the North Shore and northern suburbs. If you’re looking for CPR classes in Northbrook, this is the place. It’s also a convenient option for people in nearby communities such as Glenview, Deerfield, Northfield, Wheeling, and Highland Park.

Chicago CPR Training Center on Devon Avenue

4001 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL

Our Devon Avenue location brings CPR certification classes to Chicago’s North Side. It’s a convenient choice for residents and employees in West Ridge, Sauganash, Lincoln Square, Albany Park, and Lincolnwood, as well as anyone commuting through the Devon corridor.

CPR, AED, First Aid & BLS Classes We Offer

Both locations offer certification courses for the general public and for professionals:

  • CPR and AED certification for adults, children, and infants
  • First Aid training for the workplace, school, and home
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) for healthcare providers, including nurses, EMTs, dental staff, and medical students
  • Recertification and renewal classes to keep your card current

We teach courses through the three leading certifying organizations, so you can choose the one your employer or licensing board requires:

  • American Heart Association (AHA)
  • American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Health & Safety Institute (HSI)

Not sure which certification you need? Many healthcare employers require AHA BLS, while schools, childcare centers, and general workplaces often accept any of the three. Ask your employer or licensing board before you book. If you’re still unsure, call us and we’ll point you to the right course.

Why Choose Chicago CPR Academy?

Experienced instructors. Our instructor team includes active and off-duty firefighters, paramedics, and nurses. They have performed CPR in the field, so they teach what actually works in an emergency, not just what’s on a slide.

Hands-on learning. You’ll practice compressions, rescue breaths, and AED use on manikins until the steps feel natural. Confidence comes from repetition.

Nationally recognized certification. Our AHA, ARC, and HSI cards are widely accepted by employers, schools, and licensing boards across Illinois and the country.

Two locations plus on-site training. Can’t come to us? We bring training to you. We provide on-site CPR classes for businesses, schools, medical offices, fitness centers, and community groups across the Chicagoland area. It’s an efficient way to certify your whole team in one session.

Who Needs CPR Certification?

  • Healthcare workers: nurses, medical assistants, dental professionals, EMTs, and students
  • Teachers and childcare providers: many schools and daycare licenses require CPR and First Aid
  • Fitness professionals: personal trainers, coaches, and gym staff
  • Construction and industrial workers: workplaces with OSHA safety requirements
  • Parents, grandparents, and caregivers: because emergencies don’t wait for a professional
  • Anyone who wants to be prepared to help a family member, coworker, or stranger
