Our AHA Basic Life Support Instructor Course, located at our training facility at 1901 Raymond Dr, Unit # 4, Northbrook, IL 60062, prepares you to teach American Heart Association BLS Provider and Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED classes. As an instructor, you will be able to teach classes within your workplace, host community classes or even start your own CPR business!

As an AHA Basic Life Support Instructor, You Will Be Able to Teach:

  •  BLS Provider
  •  HeartSaver CPR/AED
  •  HeartSaver First Aid CPR/AED
  •  HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
  •  HeartSaver for K-12 Schools
  •  HeartSaver First Aid Only
  •  HeartSaver Bloodborne Pathogens

You will also be able to:

  •  Teach BLS or HeartSaver courses at your place of employment or outside work teaching individual classes.
  •  Ability to issue AHA certification cards to students. We offer competitive eCard pricing.
  •  Post your classes on the AHA class locator (ATLAS)
  •  Teach anywhere in the US.

Requirements:

  •  Have a current AHA BLS Provider certification. If you do not have one, please let us know and we can help you.
  • This certification must be valid at the time of taking the instructor class. Expired certification cards cannot be accepted.
  • BLS Instructor Essentials Course MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE IN PERSON CLASS. Completion certificate should be emailed to info@chicagocpracademy.com.
  • Attend the Instructor’s Course – Must be done in person.
  • Student must teach a BLS course while being shadowed by our instructors.
  • Once completed, paperwork will be completed and you will become affiliated with our Training Center, Affinity Institute CPR Training Center. 
  • BY TAKING OUR INSTRUCTOR COURSE, IT IS REQUIRED TO BECOME ALIGNED FOR 2 YEARS WITH AFFINITY INSTITUTE CPR TRAINING CENTER.

Refund Policy:
Instructor course payments are non-refundable within 14 days of the scheduled class date.
Instructor courses are limited to 6 seats, and your enrollment reserves a spot that cannot be replaced on short notice.

Rescheduling:
If you contact us more than 14 days before your class, we will gladly reschedule you to another available instructor course at no additional cost.

No-Show Policy:
Participants who do not attend their scheduled instructor course and did not request a reschedule in advance will forfeit their payment.
